When your eventual goal in life is to have tried every hair color of the rainbow, you can’t get much better than a place like Moxie Hair Company (200 E 13th Ave).

Stopping in on a weekend in desperate need of a cut and color (and I do mean color), it was easy to get an appointment and I was encouraged by the bright do’s I saw around the shop.

With little cash but a love of hair hues not found in nature, it’s been nice to find a place that uses dyes that don’t fade. Indeed, my purple hair is still going strong after all these weeks. The shocking red of the previous dye job lasted longer than any before, and that is a feather in their coiffed caps as far as I’m concerned.

Plus, it’s right next to City O’ City, and what’s better after a cut and color than a Cream Ale?
