I need to look forward to the weekend: This work week is just moving far too slow.

But what a weekend it will be!

On Saturday, the Denver Art Museum will be free to the viewing public. It feels delicious to see all those priceless treasures without paying a price. A special exhibition on quilts is currently showing in the old building, but a real find is the new video installation piece in the Contemporary gallery.

Over on the other side of the 16th street mall, the Musuem of Contemporary Art is having its “Penny Saturday” offering. Admission is just one little cent. Swipe one from a “take a penny, leave a penny” tray on your way, and you’re good to go.
