Colfax Block party!

Saturday July 5th marked a triumphant celebration of all that is Colfax. Well, not exactly all of what makes up the glory that is “The Most Sinister Street in America,” but quite a bit we all know and love.

Magic Cyclops of Denver DJ fame threw a bikini car wash that was reportedly a smash hit, and he afterwards regaled live painters and their audiences in the Rock Bar parking lot with tunes.

Oh, and part of the live painting involved painted on real life nekkid ladies.
I kept a sharp eye to see that my gentleman caller was not staring too hard (But I jest. His eyes were focused mainly on the festivities and free beers.)

Plastic Chapel opened doors to revelers with PBR and plenty of designer toys, zines, and art.

The Shoppe had its usual delicious cupcakes and DJ DSRN played out in the front.

The Fabric Lab sponsored a fashion show with roller skates, brocade, and other clothing wonders.

There was tapdancing and art films and art and music and frolicing and……

Too much to post! Here. Just look at this flier instead and visit all the fabulous places on it to get an idea of what was shaking that night.

And keep your eyes peeled for the next block party. Be cool on Colfax.
