David Bowie’s Tight pants on the big screen.
Jim Henson’s film “Labyrinth” is a huge memory from my girlhood.
In the film, a young Jennifer Connelly finds her annoying baby stepbrother kidnapped by an evil goblin prince, and to save him the medieval-romance loving Connelly must find her way through a labyrinth with the help of some cool puppet characters.
Tonight, July 16th, the picturesque Red Rocks is featuring this film as part of its “Film on the Rocks” series.
Each Wednesday night at Red Rocks, families and friends can share in a huge, outdoor projection of favorite films from the past in the lovely location. Tickets are $10 prior to the show and $12 at the door. While the movie starts around dusk, different bands play each week before the show, so it is recommended that folks get there early for entertainment.
But back to Labyrinth.
Yes, it was a formative film for many a young girl, I imagine.
