For anyone attempting to manuever around Downtown on Thursday nights, the large tents and sounds coming from the Denver Pavillion block might come as a surprise. Heck, I work right up the street from the Pavillions and I was still startled by all the commotion as I tried to wind my way through the area one night.

Since early June, the Pavillions have played host to an Artisan’s outdoor market and Hot Sounds concerts, which offer free shows by local musicians starting at 5pm on Thursday nights. Artists and craft makers set up tents around the Pavillions, offering shoppers a chance to pick up some of the wares.

A night billed as friendly for the family, it makes a nice diversion if you’re heading to the 16th Street mall on a Thursday night.
