Denver today
There was a loud contingency of anti-Bush protesters around 3 in the afternoon trucking on the Mall, but otherwise, it was just the crush of people in suits we’ve been seeing all week.
Buses were apparently diverted from 15th Street and had to circle around, and most were running pretty late. But otherwise, eh?
It was spooky to see the SUV full of SWAT members hanging off the sides cruise by- not to mention the helicopters with troops dangling from their edges (the ones that buzzed town months ago, but that government folk swore were “not for the DNC”?) All in all, interesting.
The buses for rounding up dissidents was parked on Grant again- but didn’t seem to move.
Here’s to a safe and sound night, my dear denverites!
Let me know if there’s any parties worth crashing.
