My friend startled me this weekend with the following information:

“Yeh, I helped tear down hope.”

Apparently, he’d helped take down the Mainfest Hope show at Andenken Gallery by artist Shepard Fairey.

The iconic posters seen in the show can be viewed all around town, on windows and signs and walls and t-shirts: So I guess my pal didn’t tear down ALL the hope, just the bit on the gallery walls.

“Nope, it’s gone,” he insisted. “No more Hope in Denver!”

Dag. Let’s, uh, (what’s another word for “hope”??) wishfully dream (?), fortuitously portend (?) that such a statement is untrue.
