The art of the jury room

Going in for jury duty has to be pretty much a downer of an experience: If you’re lucky, you sit in a room for a few hours only to be dismissed due to your belief that all people who wear white shoes after Labor Day should be thrown in jail, or you get onto a big-time trial and get to view gruesome photos and sleep in a dingy hotel with your fellow jurors.

Yes, jury duty is a beautiful thing.

At least potential jurors at the Denver courthouse have a chance to brighten their day significantly with the C&C Exhibition and Speaker Series!

Featuring rotating exhibits by local artists, the Jury Room at the Denver City and County Building (1437 Bannock, 4th floor) comes alive with art. The public is welcome for viewings, and each artist is a featured for a speaker talk as well.

This month, the C&C Exhibition will be showing work by artists from the Aurora Artists Guild, Linda Wilcox, Pegi Taylor and Beverly Green.

Linda Wilcox and Pegi Taylor will take part in an artist’s talk on September 17th at 5:30pm in the Jury Room. Their topic will be “History of the Aurora Artists Guild & the Artistic Process”.
