Brando, Buffalo, and movie buffs
When I think of “Wildlife Experience,” I don’t automatically think of martinis, movies, and Marlon Brando. (OK, maybe Brando, but that’s more of an “Island of Dr. Moreau” context…)
But the Wildlife Experience in Parker might just change those associations.
For its “Martini and a Movie” night, the experiential exhibition center will be showing “A Streetcar Named Desire” on September 18th.
Starting at 6:30 pm, guests can grab a cocktail, nosh on some cheese platters and desserts, and take a peek at the museum and exhibition space. Popcorn and the flick start an hour later.
I like the idea of teetering around with a martini and making Dororthy Parker-esque quips about endangered monkies. I also like the idea of forever associating screen legend Marlon Brando with wildebeests.
The “Streetcar” showing will be followed on October 16th by “The Shining.”
