Fashion for Freedom
Denver fashion helps fight for the freedom of others this weekend as Amore Loves vintage clothing sponsors the Fashion for Freedom benefit on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the LIFEspot in Centennial.
Featuring the work of several local designers as well as music by The Epilogues, Of the Wolves, Gardens, and Argyle St., the cost is $12 and goes to Love 146, a non-profit that works to prevent human trafficking and provide aftercare for its victims.
A terrifying (if often undiscussed) problem worldwide today, million of children and adults are currently held as slaves, shipped world wide by traffickers who sell them as domestic laborers, factory workers, prostitutes, or other terrible conditions. Slave traders currently run a $7 to $10 billion dollar racket that features humans as products. Read more about this abhorrent situation currently occurring world wide here.
This event sounds like a good time for a good cause, and a chance to enjoy the work of our ever creative Denver designers.
