I went to Sputnik on Sunday night around 7pm just to get a sandwich. But I got so, so much more.

Little did I know that Sunday night over at the Broadway hangout is trivia night! Yes indeed, it’s TriviaTron3000 with the Postman!

Quickly forming team “Electric Bacon” with some nearby friends, we took to the questions with gusto. It appeared that most of the teams were regulars for the event, as I heard a muttering of “Who’s ‘Electric Bacon’?” go up through the crowd.

Questions involving everything from popular songs of 2008 to scientific breakthroughs to details of Shark Week (Live every week like it’s Shark Week!) were asked, and we scribbled answers on our pink note pads.

The questions were hard and intriguing, and the people were smart (One note: Were the people using laptops actually playing? ‘Cause that really didn’t seem right.) I was proud to win one round for Electric Bacon.

Man oh man, Sputnik has everything I love: Bingo, sandwiches, beer, trivia! Can it get any better?
