I love to call movies “Film.” It annoys my friends, so when we’ll stop at Blockbuster for some [SPOILER ALERT] “Indiana Jones 3: Aliens Hate Communists” and I enjoy the pained looks on their faces when I insist on announcing that we’re renting “Cinema.” Yes, my brows are so high they shoot off the top of my head.

I am excited, then, to be able to Legitimately use the term “film” around Denver in this cold, windy January!

The inviting and artist-supporting folks at Festivus Film Festival have a host of intriguing and excellent looking actual films for our enjoyment! A festival focusing on the art of filmmaking and strorytelling rather than big-name celebrities and grab bags like some fancy film fests, our little Denver will be alive with creativity during the Festivus season!

Starting tommorrow, Jan. 8, the Festivus festival will feature up-and-coming, local, and other independent movie makers at the top of their craft. Check out their schedule to see what true film passion looks like.
