They’re not called tricks, they’re called illusions!

I thought magicians would be black balled if they revealed their secrets: I wonder how great a risk premiere Denver magician Chad Allen is taking by teaching the common rabble illusions at the Wizard’s Chest from Jan. 27 to March 3rd.

But I jest. Actually, it sounds pretty awesome. Allen will be teaching six two-hour courses, each on a different popular magic skill set. The lineup of classes:

January 27 – Sponge Balls
February 3 – Full Deck Card Magic
February 10 – Cups & Balls
February 17 – Card Gimmicks
February 24 – Hot Rod Magic
March 3 – Silk Magic

The classes are $25 each, or $125 for the whole course. Contact the Wizard’s Chest now to sign up! It sounds like a great way to learn some skills with which to impress friends, and the Wizard’s Chest is a awesome in and of itself, with costumes, juggling apparatii, games, and loads of endlessly entertaining doodads.

But just to quote the great magician GOB of Arrested Development: “They’re called ‘Illusions.’ A trick is what a whore does for money. Or cocaine.”
