Yipes, I’ve been down and out for the past few days with a wicked cough that’s made my voice sound like sand paper.

But I’m hoping that tommorrow I’ll be in full voice, as it’s Karaoke night at Bender’s Tavern.

In addition to a night that will allow you to cover your favorite songs on stage without paying a cover, Thursday nights at Benders offers $2 PBRs, while the Tuesday night Karaoke (you have a chance to sing on stage twice a week there) features Ladies’ Night where women drink $1 PBR and $2 wine, wells, and drafts.

My favorite thing to sing is “Love Shack” by the B52s, although elaborate performances involving carefully planned outfits and moves and mash-up lyrics are my all-time favorite. But that takes a lot of dedication to the karaoke art.
