Sweet, sweet animals get help through silent auction

OH MY GOD.
My heart about melts into a gooey puddle everytime I take a look at the Denver Dumb Friends League’s website. I mean, look at those adorable cats and dogs! LOOK AT THEM! RIGHT NOW!

Good, you’re looking. Aren’t they the sweetest?

OK, I’m a total sucker for little furry animals, especially cats. All it takes is one picture and I’m near quivering with tears from the cuteness.

But these animals at the DDFL are not only cute, they’re in need! Often abandoned or found wandering, many of the cats and dogs (and kittens and puppies) at the shelter are in search of good homes or even temporary shelter where they can recuperate from illnesses and socialize before finding a loving home.

Lucky for us, the Denver Dumb Friends League is offering an online auction through Feb. 2 (my, that’s ending soon!) in which we can bid on fun stuff like hotel stays, pet supplies, gift certificates and more prizes, and both get something for ourselves (or loved ones!) and help these precious, precious animals.

So let the bidding begin (continue?)!

If you don’t feel like getting in on the auction action, there are plenty of other ways to help the DDFL housed animals, as detailed on their website!

  1. Coincidence: I went to Maxfund Animal Adoption Center 1025 Galapago St. Denver on Saturday and yep, there were dozens and dozens of really super dogs and cats. It’s fun and heart wrenching all at the same time.

If I go back I’ll adopt an animal, no doubt about it.

Awesomeness, Matt! That is teh cuteness! I hope you find the best animal friend ever when the time is just right!

We had a cat from DDFL for years, and she was a peach. Now I’ve got Mojo, a goofy cat I adopted from someone who couldn’t keep her- adopted pets are super the best.

It IS so hard to go into a shelter- I want to take everything home with me…. They’re just TOO WONDERFUL. But it’s sure worth it in the end!
