Without a Home is screening at the Durango Independent Film Festival next week. The filmmaker followed five homeless people and 1 homeless family over a four year period and unexpectedly got deeply involved in their lives becoming a character in the film herself. It was truly an incredible journey; one of the subjects won the lottery, another person’s house burnt down, there was even a death. The film feels more like a narrative than a documentary and actually ends on a hopeful note which, we believe is a welcome change!
