Art is going to be gangbuster this week- First Friday shows are popping up all over and plenty of them are going to be a feast for art lovers city-wide.

Over at nifty little 11th Avenue Gallery (15 E. 11th Avenue), this Friday features the opening of a show by Ali Pate, along with flower arrangements by Ladybird Poppy. The opening will run from 7-11PM this Friday.

From what I’ve seen on the intrawebs of Ali Pate’s work, it appears to be a study in black and whites, as if crocheted pieces have been photographed close up.

11th Avenue is a great space- intimate and friendly, the gallery features work by local artists, and is welcoming to art experts and casual art lovers alike. Make sure to put this stop on your First Friday roster for the week.
