Ballet is where the bear drives around in the tiny car, right?
When I think of the ballet, the first image that pops into my mind is a big bear in a small car, thanks to the misunderstading of Homer on a Simpsons episode long ago.
So Colorado Ballet, it’s up to you to change my mind!
The Colorado Ballet’s season is ending on March 21st, giving us Denverites a few precious last chances to see either Midsummer Nights Dream, or their Twyla Tharp-choreographed Repertory Series.
Opening tommorrow, the Repertory series brings in not only one of the biggest names in dance choreography, the series will also introduce Denver to dancers Amy Seiwart of the Smunin Ballets, and Edwaard Liang, former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet.
It’s a great time to catch the show, as tickets are priced for all of us hobo-types who don’t have too many nickles to rub together. For some performances, a limited number of tickets will be available for only $10, and for other purchases, the Colorado Ballet is offering 20% off the repertory theater at this site, if you use the ticket code TWYLA.
So go see the shows, and tell me if the bear shows up at any point. If not, I’ll be disappointed.
