Nerd out with Sci Fi films at the Thin Man
![]()
In the underbelly of the Thin Man Tavern, genre movies are shown in the Ubi Sub Ubi room each Wednesday. Last year, horror films filled up most of the docket, while Sci Fi takes center stage during this run.
Tonight’s showing is “Andromeda Strain” (I presume its the 1971 version of the Michael Cricton novel, not the more recent mini-series adaptation.) The story, which put Crichton on the map of best-selling authors, follows a team of scientists trying to figure out the whys and wherefores of a deadly alien micro-organism that is causing ebola-like reactions in humans.
The movies start at 9PM in the Thin Man’s basement lounge.
