The perfect time to do a little “spring cleaning” for Denver closets is coming up with Fashion Denver’s FRESH! Spring Market at the City Hall Event Center (1144 Broadway). Twenty-eight local designers will be presenting their unique and fashion-forward creations, giving us all a chance to freshen up our duds with cool new outfits and accessories.

This year’s FRESH! Market will be taking a cue from the season, as we watch Colorado turn from the gray of winter to the green of spring, as the designers and organizers strive to “Think Green” more than ever. Ecologically sound wearable creations, recycled fabrics, reconstructed fashion, and environmentally-conscious designers (such as noted local designers Fluidium, Francis Roces, and Studio Yoshida) are helping Denver fashion stay eco-friendly.

Fashion shows at 3PM and 6PM will gives fashionistas a chance to catch the best new looks on the catwalk, and fashion giveaways will offer surprises all day long. A craft booth by Denver DIY heroes Fancy Tiger, a paper purse booth by the Denver Voice, live screen printing with Super Screen Print, and a photo booth session with hip blog-about-town, Denver Connects (dencx.com), will provide even more excitement for market-goers.

A $5 admission fee benefits the American Cancer Society.

With a chance to not only refresh our looks with many of Denver’s leading designers (and plenty of hot designers new to Fashion Denver’s Markets), the Market will provide Denver trend-makers with a chance to not only support their local artisans but also take a step in making Denver a greener city this spring.
