Finding a place for emerging poets to express themselves and connect with their fellow scribes and others in the community is a difficulty. Writing and reading often takes place behind closed doors, and often seems shared in hermetically sealed college-campus readings or coffee shops with the same repeat crowds.

Thus enters the organization “3+3,” who pairs three established artists with three up-and-coming poets. This Saturday marks the first Denver 3+3 event, which will take place and the Dikeou Collection, a out-of-the-spotlight and largely unknown private art collection at 1615 California (a downtown office building) on the 5th floor.

It sounds like a nice chance to see both emerging and established artists of words, as well as take in a special treat in art in Denver.

The event starts Saturday at 3PM, and is free!
