Denver opens its doors

Does anyone else peer into the lit windows of offices and homes when walking along the street? Not in a pervy way! Just to check out the interior style of some old Victorian house or to see what sort of desks that ancient-looking bank building might have? No? I can’t be alone here, people!

I’m assuming I’m not, or otherwise why would Doors Open Denver be a yearly event?

Taking place this weekend, April 18th and 19th, the free event leads Denverites and other gawkers on a self-guided tour through the architecture of our City. More than 80 sites will be flinging open the gates to allow visitors to sneak a peak at the unique architecture or style held within.

Visitors interested in perusing buildings throughout (mostly) downtown can start at Union Station (1701 Wynkoop) and grab a map, and take off on a walking tour to check out the buildings with large banners advertising the event.

There are plenty of places I’ve walked past in my daily shuffle that make me curious what lies beneath. (Still not in a pervy way!! Jeez!)
