Not to get all public service announcementy on you (“The more you know!”) but it’s a good thing to get screenings for things such as cholesterol level, cancer and vision tests on a regular basis. (I guess I should take my own advice: I’m terrified of the doctor’s office and have avoided it studiously for way too long…)

Sometimes, however, it’s quite costly or time consuming to get an appointment for a checkup. Enter the 9 News Health Fair, which is going on at a variety of locations around Denver (check this list for information on locations and services). The fairs run through April 26. You can get some low-cost tests and get to know more about staying healthy.

Knowing is half the battle!
