The temporary Denver Community Museum (a non-profit museum run by Denver’s Jamie Kopke) will be moving on its merry way this Saturday, and is holding an event entitled “An Ode – A Celebration – A Farewell” to mark the occasion.

At the DCM, rotating exhibits were featured, and the ideas for the exhibits sprang from the submissions from community members themselves. The ideas were posed as a challenge, and any interested party in the Denver/Boulder area (no age limits or other requirements!) could interpret that challenge as they wished and submit their work for display.

It’s an innovative and interactive idea that really gets people invested in the museum. It will be a shame to see it go, but it was a pleasure to have it here.

The celebration on Saturday will run 7-10 PM, with wine and snacks and an auction of objects and artworks submitted by the community members. Click the clicky picture above for more info!
