Jason Webley comes to town

It always sort of amazes me how many people I run into who are singing the praises of Jason Webley. Not that the praise is unexpected, mind you, just that I had thought I’d discovered a rare, unknown musical gem all those years ago when I stumbled upon, by happenstance, his live show in a tiny bar while I was visiting Kansas City.
But word of the rock-and-roll accordion player, who sings Tom Waits-esque songs of drinking and love and lament, has spread far and wide.
Celebrating his 11th year anniversary of touring, Webley will be coming to Denver on Tuesday, April 28, to play at the Mercury Cafe. The show start at 8PM and costs $7.
Go find out why this “hidden treasure” of music isn’t so hidden anymore. It’s worth it.
