This Friday, join fabulous (and sometimes unusual) Denver artists as they spread their ideas and love of art like swine flu at the Hinterland Gallery starting at 7 PM.

The show, “Down with the Sickness” uses a variety of arts (painting sculptural, video, performance) to explore concepts of the body, gender, reality, and the shifting shapes of imagination.

What is “the sickness” of the title? Show organizer Travis Egedy describes it notes: “could the sickness be a viral spreading of new awareness and higher vibrational consciousness? if so, we are “down” with it. or could “the sickness” be the very sickness that is plaguing and polluting our minds and our earth? the very sickness that forces you to go to work in the morning, or the very sickness that cloaks itself as the real? if so, down with the sickness!”

Works by Justin Beard, Milton Melvin Croissant III, Sterling Crispin, Travis Egedy, and Drew Englander will be featured.
