I remember the drive out to Stapleton Airport back in the day, back when anyone could go in and wait by the gates for relatives, friends, and others coming and going from the Colorado.

It seemed like a magical place then.

I was out in the now burgeoning neighborhood of Stapleton not too long ago, and surprised how much the airport space of my childhood memories has changed. Why, it’s become a viable community these days!

Events such as their weekly summer concert series and Founder’s Green (to be held this Sat. Aug 15 from 6-8:30PM), the live Main Street Concert Series (with Jakarta performing Friday Aug. 21 and Chris Daniels and the Kings on August 21) at the Northfield Main Street Field, Summer movie series at Founder’s Green and Farmer’s Markets every Saturday, seems to indicate its a hopping little suburb.
