Keep on ‘ballin!

I know a lot of folks who play for the Denver Kickball Coalition were pretty bummed out that the season was over and there was no more running the bases each week… I know my heart had a hole the size of a kickball that first week…

Luckily, Denver is a shockingly kickball-heavy town, and there’s always more balls to be kicked!

Over at City Park on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the KIFAC league plays “Beer kickball.” A little different than the more competitive DKBC games, players must always have a drink in their hand while running, catching, pitching, and playing the field. It’s a wacky and very sticky game (there’s beer flying everywhere…) and the attitude is one of hanging out and having fun.

It’s no surprise, with the rules of beer in play, that Shinerbock sponsors the league and provides 4 kegs per game for everyone to share.

Games usually start at 6PM, with a social 1/2 hour beforeheand.

Check out the website for more information on playing in the fall or summer leagues. While the fall league is underway, KIFAC has some other fun-sounding leagues that might fill the kickball gap for a stretch…
